When October finally rolled around on our calendars, I was anxiously awaiting our Southern Maryland wedding season to pick up. Since the worldwide pandemic hit, wedding season drastically slowed down. The majority of my couples were sadly required to make huge changes to their wedding planning. Most of them had to reschedule. But here we were, staring the start of fall square in the face, and packing our bags to prepare for the busiest month of the year – pandemic or not!
Haley and Chris were married at Dent Memorial Chapel, the same church their parents were married. A beautiful and historic church in Charlotte Hall, Maryland near the Veteran’s Home. I couldn’t resist making sure we captured some images of the two of them in front of those iconic red doors before heading to Southern Maryland White House Retreat in Najemoy, Maryland for their reception.

When Chris first showed me his socks my mouth dropped open in surprise. And then I laughed pretty hard. The socks even came with individual miniature combs so the guys could comb Donald Trump’s hair. The hysterics of the whole thing had me giggling over it the rest of the night. He told me that he wasn’t sure how his socks would go over, considering the political climate in October (and in all of 2020), but he decided to go ahead with wearing them because he knew they would get a laugh.
They certainly made me laugh!
