Jen and Jason woke on the morning of their wedding to beautiful weather and a sky full of sunshine. Excitement filled the air in Jen’s parent’s home as the bridesmaids got finishing touches to their and makeup and the bouquets were delivered. Their home quickly filled with the scent of white hydrangea and roses while I zipped around gathering details to begin photographing. I found the most perfect white window with glowing light, a large white painted window sill draped in white lace curtains. I honestly couldn’t have planned this little spot in their home better than they did. I felt like their home was brimming with anticipation and love, with just a little hint of nervousness. Everything was perfect and glowing beautifully!
Jen’s bridesmaids and I stepped outside to grab a few fun portraits of them together with their bouquets while Jen was getting the last finishing touches to her makeup. Shortly after we were finished, the girls ran inside and started to put their gowns on. All of the ladies made their way down the stairs just in time for Jenna to step into her dress. And everyone there seemed to hold their breath as she lightly stepped into her Kate Spade heels and the veil was placed lovingly on the top of her head. The wedding party’s trolley pulled up to the front of the house and it was time to leave for St. Mark Chapel.
Surrounded by their closest friends and family members, they exchanged vows and promises of forever. And we were all quickly swept away to Legg Mason Tower for their reception. Once we arrived to Baltimore Harbor we met the newlyweds outside while their guests mingled together in cocktail hour. We watched as Jason dipped Jen in the middle of a busy Baltimore street, he twirled her while on-lookers “oooh’d and ahhh’d” and tossed out their congratulations. And just as we thought we were done with their portrait time we were invited onto the back of a boat by a lovely couple who were also headed to a wedding that night. We couldn’t have made better memories for this time of their wedding if we had actually planned it out ourselves! The couple on the boat gave Jen and Jason a beer and their best wishes, and we headed upstairs to get the party started.
What a night it was!!! And I’m totally honored to have had the opportunity to watch it all unfold for them!

During our walk around Baltimore Harbor as their guests were enjoying cocktail hour, we ran into THE most amazing couple sitting on their boat. It couldn’t have been just a coincidence. They too were on their way to enjoy a wedding and their boat was named “Tying the Knot”. As amazing as they were, they welcome Jen and Jason on their boat for a few portraits and then gave them a congratulatory beer as we headed back up the ramp.
Memories were made at every turn!
