Kate and Rob’s wedding at Walker’s Overlook was absolutely breathtaking. One knew instantly the care and love they put into planning every little detail. From the bride's simple silver flats to the perfectly tailored navy suits of the groomsmen, it all complimented their venue beautifully.

Mandy and Chris’s wedding day was filled with tears, promises, surprise choreographed dances, and even more laughter. The memories shared and made filled the night as they were surrounded by those who love them the most. It was purely magical and I’m honored to have had the chance to witness it!
When we showed up to start photographing Mandy’s bridal details we were quickly informed of two new(er) details that we weren’t aware of. Two things that the guests, and even the bridal party weren’t aware of. Two things that I haven’t had a chance to see at a wedding – until their wedding day. You see, Mandy and Chris have a love affair with pizza. So it was planned to have Papa John’s deliver a heart-shaped pizza directly to their sweetheart table just before dinner was served. We were just getting ready to hear the dinner announcement when –
The pizza delivery guy walked in, shrugged his shoulders, looked around. Then he found Mandy and Chris and delivered their hot pie straight to their table. She opened the box and laughed hysterically when she saw the pizza was cooked in the shape of a heart. What a memorable way to share your favorite dinner with your favorite person!
I know that I say this a lot, but every single word is absolute truth. I can’t imagine photographing weddings if it weren’t for the amazing couples and families that I have had the chance to meet and get to serve. Mandy and Chris’s families are no exception! From the second I met Mandy and her parents during her wedding consultation last year I knew that I had just met one special group of people. The love they shared between each other was palpable and I have spent the past year watching Mandy on social media as she graduated, started a new job, got their first house together, and then got married. I have felt as if I’ve been celebrating with her every step of the way!
So when I watched in awe as Mandy and Chris exchanged rings I did a little dance. And then I did another little dance after they kissed as husband and wife, and walked back in my direction down the aisle.
I can’t wait to continue to celebrate more milestones with them!! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Thompson!!
