Several weeks ago Ryan’s mother, Donna, reached out to me to ask if I was available to photograph her son’s engagement party on the weekend of the 4th of July. She shared with me a little about their story and I was really excited to learn that the location of their party was just a short 15-minute drive from my house, located right next to one of Maryland’s historic properties, Old Spout Farm. Their gorgeous house was overlooking views of the Patuxent River, and the whole family took advantage of the morning by jet skiing, swimming in the pool, and enjoying Whisky Sours.
When I arrived, everything was decorated for a true 4th of July celebration; with red, white, and blue centerpieces, personalized drinking cups, a cart for cocktails, and lots and lots of cake. We enjoyed a little over an hour getting to know each other and capturing lots of family portraits, which all turned out perfect if you ask me. And the party ended with dinner, toasts, and a trailer full of fireworks that were set off over the river just after sunset.
A perfectly memorable celebratory weekend for Ryan and Kaytee’s engagement!
The celebration for Ryan and Kaytee brought in guests from all over the country together under one roof. California, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, among many other states. And the fact that everyone was able to gather together to celebrate was not lost on anyone. I am so thankful to have been a part of their celebration!
Congratulations, Ryan and Kaytee!!
