When Denise described her wedding as “whimsical fair tale”, it dawned on me how perfect of a description that really was! Her bridesmaid’s lace gowns complimented her blush wedding gown beautifully. All of their glittery details, the DIY pinwheel centerpieces, the hand blown sugar balls atop their cake, the ribbon wands for their special exit – it was all perfectly planned. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate a couple that is as fun and bubbly as Denise and Jimmy are!! Not only was their wedding day a celebration of their love together, but it was also a celebration of Denise’s birthday. Mount Airy Mansion was buzzing with excitement the moment everyone arrived and even though there was a threat of rain they laughed and danced in the yard as if they knew the rain would stay away. And it did! We were blessed with gorgeous weather on Saturday!
You know you’ve found the most perfect couple to work with when they not only trust you to capture their wedding day but they open their arms to you and your assistants as if you’re family. We danced on the dance floor with them, we laughed with them, and we were honored to be able to witness such a special day in their lives! Denise and Jimmy have quickly moved from being our bride and groom to being true friends! Congratulations on your union, Denise and Jimmy!! Here’s to many, many more years of wedded bliss!
From the bride: “I had such a hard time deciding on a color palette. I couldnt decide on just three colors. After frustration on deciding, Jimmy said why not just have all of them. I was interested… A rainbow wedding! The first appointment I made after getting engaged was the dress. I saw the dress I wanted in a fashion show and I knew right away it was for me. It was the first dress I tried on. With it being an ivory and blush dress I knew primary colors wouldn’t work. So I chose pastels. That’s when I discovered my wedding would be a whimsical fairy tale and I went to Pinterest and I pinned all of the elements that were magical to me. I got my girls together and we had crafting days for our center pieces. My cousins and aunt put together my arch, place cards and cake! It was a huge group effort and was pleased with how it came out. It was my perfect day!”
