Indianapolis Indiana Rustic The Barn at Kennedy Farm Wedding

The Weekend Review | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

I feel like a huge chunk of my year has been spent waiting on this past weekend! Flying out to Indianapolis to meet with the most genuine couple, photograph their beautiful barn wedding at The Barn at Kennedy Farm, meet and mingle with their beautiful families – it was all an absolute dream for me! For a long time it felt like this weekend would never get here. Then, in the blink of an eye I was boarding a plane and taking off. (Something I haven’t done in 13 years.) I was nervous about making sure everything passed the TSA requirements. I was nervous about lost baggage and the possibility of damaged equipment. But everything made it to Indy without any hiccups and I arrived to my hotel room in one piece.

The next morning I was up bright-and-early stirring with the excitement of knowing I was about to capture some of the most important moments of Andrea’s and Joe’s love story. I’m a planner, so I already had printed schedules and maps with me. My gear was all packed up and ready to go. All I needed was batteries, since TSA wouldn’t let me bring them. I drove around a little, picked up my batteries, grabbed breakfast and headed out. There was a chill in the air and the leaves on the trees were at peak color. Fall is my most favorite time of year and I was dying to get out to the barn to see how everything has come together.

Here’s a quick peek into their magical day!

What an AWESOME first kiss!!!! Fist pump, baby! Joe was so excited to marry his love that he just had to show it outwardly as well. And look at how scrunched up Andrea’s sweet face is!! Just wait until you see their First Look images.

Saturday morning I had my alarm set for 3am. I booked a super early flight home so I could make sure I was back in time to take the kids out trick-or-treating that same night. Wow! What a weekend this has been!!! I landed Saturday morning and crashed for a few hours, then I was up walking the kids around the neighborhood. Sunday afternoon I found myself heading back out to Baltimore to meet Ali and Josh for their lovely Fells Point engagement session. We couldn’t have been blessed with better weather and lighting! The sky was slightly overcast which gave us the ability to walk just about anywhere and not worry about harsh lighting or dark shadows. And we took full advantage of the beautiful little nooks and crannies that Fells Point has to offer.

I can’t wait to share their full blog post with you guys soon!
