Meet Denise | Amanda Adams Photography Intern

July 21, 2015

I have an extremely special announcement today and I felt this needed it’s very own blog post.

Meet Denise!

Denise is spunky, outgoing, fun to be around, and she keeps me laughing (which is SO important). She’s stylish and isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. She also happens to be one of my 2015 brides who has quickly turned into a friend. A couple weeks ago when I posted on Facebook asking for anyone interested in interning with me (crazy, huh?! AN INTERN!) I was very surprised to get her email. But after hearing about her interests in a little more depth and understanding her background, it made complete sense. I invited Denise to tag along with me to our recent TuesdaysTogether meeting and it quickly became clear how easily she would fit in.

(I can’t believe I’m about to write this…)

Denise has accepted the position of being AAP’s 2015 Intern!!! 😀 You guys will have the chance to meet her, work with her, and watch her work grace my screen on occasion. I can’t wait for you to get to know her like I do!

From Denise:

“I am passionate about photography. I had started mentoring with Doug Talley when I was in high school and he has since retired. I also learned film basics in high school. Then, I started volunteering with the local fire houses and taking photos of their burn drills. This lead to doing portrait sessions. I started working on my art degree with the College of Southern Maryland where I learned more about composition and working with Photoshop. This lead to doing weddings on the side. I had to transition to getting my Business Administration degree when I started looking for a career. I loved doing weddings but I wasn’t at a point where I could take it on full-time. I still dabble with family portraits for family and friends, and I love the wedding circuit and am excited for the chance to learn more!”

Help me in welcoming her to the family!! I can’t wait to show her the ropes and let you guys meet her. You’ll LOVE her!

Cheers to an exciting and fruitful year!!
