The Weekend Review | Flora Corner Farm Engagement

Engagements

November 23, 2015

Saturday afternoon rolled around and I was completely giddy with excitement over meeting Ramona and Will at Flora Corner Farm for their portrait session. You see, their Flora Corner Farm Engagement session wasn’t just a normal engagement session. Of course, we met at a beautiful farm, they cuddled and loved on each other for their portraits, and we had a wonderful time getting to know each other better! That was ‘normal’! However, they had a very clear vision of how they wanted their engagement session to flow and what they wanted it to represent for them. Flora Corner Farm wasn’t just a pretty place – it THE perfect location for their shoot. And their engagement session wasn’t just an engagement session – it was a STYLED engagement session. Ramona and Will searched high-and-low to piece together their outfits for their shoot, including finding antique pieces that you would read about in the Anne of Green Gables book. Delaney Burgess met us at the farm and did an amazing job at Ramona’s makeup application. Diane, owner of Flora Corner Farm, also lent us a huge hand in preparing the scenes we set up for Ramona and Will. We couldn’t be more thankful for the ideas and props she provided us while we were together. Their engagement portrait session truly was the culmination of a great team working together to fulfill a vision. Check out a small peek at the results!!

This past weekend, as we all know, is the weekend before Thanksgiving. Those of us who are hosting Thanksgiving dinner more-than-likely spent some time beating the crowds in the grocery stores to get the necessities. I know I did! Every ounce of my being just wanted to stay in my pj’s and lay on the couch watching movies on Amazon Prime. However, I’m thankful that I could go to the store for what we needed! So, instead of being lazy, I got the kids dressed and we headed out to BJ’s to get the “big ticket” items for our meal. I also wanted to put up our Christmas tree and start to get the house decorated for the holidays. But my husband quickly stopped me and demanded us only celebrate one holiday at a time. I promise I’m not rushing things! The decorations during the holidays are what helps me get through the dreary winter days and I guess I’m just really excited to see everything get pretty again. You can’t blame me for liking glitter and sparkling lights!

Oh well…there’s always next weekend! 😉
