My husband and I have been married for 10 years now. This summer will be 11 years. We’ve been through a lot together as a family. The uncertainty of multiple surgical procedures, pure bliss from the births of our two girls, the busyness of two moves, the fear and devastation of a house fire, pride […]
I’ve never shared this story with anyone but my husband. To be honest, it’s embarrassing, and left me feeling like a complete failure. I was so confused, too. I never understood what the reason was behind their decision to fire me. And I still don’t, even 8 years later. But that doesn’t take the sting away.

Eleanor’s due date came and went well before we were able to do anything in terms of getting a nursery ready for her. Our initial plan was that we were going to have both of our girls share a bedroom. Then the week she was born our family situation took a little bit of an […]

But one major lesson I’ve learned is that I am the one in control of our schedules, and if we need to take a day off from school to go to the beach or to run errands, I can do that – guilt free!
Last month I joined a group of women online who wanted to make a change to their eating habits. There were some pros and cons for me with this new way of eating and I’ll admit, I fell off the wagon pretty quickly after my wallet started screaming for mercy. However, there is one really great thing I picked up from that group and I’ve added to daily morning routine. I’d like to share this with you today in hopes that it might be something you fall in love with, too.

Wedding season has finally started for me. I feel like I’ve been in hiding since November of last year only to come out of my hibernation for weddings. (It’s a MUCH welcomed change!) And, last but not least, we’ve made the very important (albeit, also scary) decision to…homeschool our 5 year old daughter.
