My Life Was About to Change Forever

We Have Insanely Valuable Wedding Resources!

For Brides

April 7, 2016

Pinterest is ever-moving and always updating. A fairly new change that Pinterest has made is to push three forms of content into your main feed – 1) pins of those you’re following, 2) pins it thinks you may like based on the interests you set when you first opened your account, and 3) pins related to your current pinning behavior. Because Pinterest is pretty smart at figuring out what you would like to see, I personally love taking advantage of scrolling through my feed every day and pinning things I think would benefit my brides in some way. On average, I probably spend about an hour a day, 3-4 days out of every week pinning new content. I have personal boards and I have inspiration boards just for my brides. Since I opened my account WAAAAY back when Pinterest was practically brand new, I’m sure you can imagine how many pins I’ve collected.

Without getting into the analytics of Pinterest too much (that’s for another post) I will say that I’m extremely pleased with the interaction I’ve been seeing on my account. It’s so clear to me that my followers LOVE food and wedding resources just about as much as I do!!

Our Pinterest analytics for the first week of April shows us our followers love food and weddings just as much as we do!

I think it may be possible that many people don’t know that I use Pinterest the way I do, so I wanted to share how I organize my boards and what content I’m pinning. I’m crossing my fingers (and toes) in hopes that these pins will be helpful to anyone who may be planning a wedding and is looking for inspiration. Besides, I’ve created most of these boards with YOU in mind. 😉 (However, my husband seems to think my Pinterest account is a “never ending Honey-Do list”. LOL!)

Let’s Explore Pinterest Together!

All of my boards are organized by category, and then alphabetically. I do this for organization for myself but also for anyone who may be searching for content on my page. My Business content shows up first. Then Clients (showing clothing inspiration for engagement shoots, wall gallery inspiration, and even location ideas). Then Weddings. Then Personal. Some of my most favorite pins come straight from my wedding boards and my Personal: Home board! In fact, I’m starting to see a lot of wedding trends that I’ve pinned to my boards showing up in the weddings I cover.

Here are some of the boards (with direct links) that I would encourage any bride-to-be to peek at or even follow.

Weddings: Decor & Design
Weddings: The Dress
Weddings: Engagement Session Themes
Weddings: Florals
Weddings: Paper & Stationary

I update my boards DAILY. Seriously, I can’t stay off of Pinterest. And some times Pinterest can become a huge time-suck, especially for a busy bride who just wants inspiration and ideas in one single spot. I’ve done the hard work for you ladies and organized each of these categories to help you with your planning.

Happy Planning!! Have FUN searching for ideas and adding to your own boards. Also, I’d LOVE to hear what you think!! Are you as addicted to Pinterest as I am?
