We had a tough time scheduling our portrait session and keeping the date nailed down for us to meet. For a little while it almost felt like if it wasn’t the weather pushing us back, it was something else. Emily actually mentioned this during her portrait session and I felt terrible knowing we spent weeks checking our schedules and trying to work around these things. I’m so deeply thankful for their patience and I think even though we ended up rescheduling a few times, we ultimately ended up with THE most perfect day to meet. The weather was beautiful, the hike to the Elk Neck State Park lighthouse was calming, and we had the best time laughing about the story of how they met.
It all happened on St. Patrick’s Day at the local VFW. Emily was with a friend, and so was Sidney. They had a great time together and all four of them exchanged numbers just after they realized that they lived in the same apartment complex, just steps away from each other. After planning a date with Sidney’s friend, Emily ended up hanging out with Sidney at this very lighthouse that same night. They quickly realized they were meant for each other and that’s all the proof that Sidney needed to propose.
When you know you’ve found your soulmate, you just KNOW. And now they’re planning their 2018 waterfront wedding!
Every little facet of Emily’s engagement ring caught the light in all the right places!! What a stunning piece!
Emily and Sidney are planning a waterfront wedding with lots of driftwood and bayside elements in their decor. It was only natural for us to make our way down to the water just after spending some time at the lighthouse. What a gorgeous night it was!!
Congratulations on your engagement, Emily and Sidney!!! I’m so excited to witness you two join together in marriage! 2018, here we come!
